ace starboard...

Re: ace starboard...
2011: The Ace boards excel in flatter waters with their sharper nose cutting small wave chop. A larger and deeper concave through the middle increases glide and early planing. Sharper tucked rails in the cockpit area increases stability. The 2011 ACE designs are offering two widths for the 12’6” class and 2 widths for the 14’0” class. The 27” wide hulls are more stable and made for heavier riders and more difficult water conditions. The more narrow 25” wide boards are the choice for lighter riders and top elite racers. The ACE boards are designed by Brian Szymanski and replaces his 2010 model “New” boards.

2012: MEME TEXTE.

2013: The history: The Ace concept is an amazing creation of Brian Szymanski. He started developing the ACE concept already back in 2009 and each year its becoming more evident that in choppy waters the ACE hull simply is the fastest hull around the course. Narrow hull, high walls and a NACA profile outline. A middle rocker line that glides insanely with a curved nose absorbing all chop. Annabel Anderson did not only finish second in the men’s fleet in the New York marathon, she also beat all the French male participants in the French World Tour event in 2012 and that with a 6 minute margin. Bart De Zwart won the 11 city tour, the worlds most grueling race. The Ace wins practically everywhere in choppy conditions including independent tests. The new secrets: For 2013 we have integrated a full size cockpit making the ACE an easy board to turn around buoys, just move your back foot back for the full pivot turn. With the flatter and wider recessed deck, it also is comfortable to walk further back for riding chop and small swell. The narrow 23.5” models are super quick but a bit challenging, whereas the 25“ wide models provide ample stability for a confident rider. The 27” wide versions are for heavy riders or real bumpy conditions.
2014: The new secrets : For 2014 we have integrated a full-sized cockpit making the Ace an easy board to turn around buoys, just move your back foot back for the full pivot turn. With the flatter and wider recessed deck, it is also comfortable to walk further back for riding chop and small swell. The narrow 23.5” models are super-quick but quite challenging, whereas the 25” wide models provide ample stability for a confident rider. The 27” wide versions are for heavy riders or really bumpy conditions.

2015: The choppy water champion. With a new flatter rocker, new rounder rails aft, refined nose shapes and new efficient cockpit, the ACE sees its largest performance leap in five years. Catching bumps quicker, connecting better between waves, faster upwind and quicker on the flats, The Ace is an overall easier board to paddle, with more excess speed than ever. Generally, the high sidewalls and dug out standing area allow for a narrow and fast hull. The narrower hull also makes it possible to keep the paddle closer to the board, thus transferring energy more effectively. The thick board with lots of volume, simply pops up over the chop all the time, making it effortless to paddle and catch wave bumps. The NACA profile outline with its narrow tail provides an incredibly efficient release of water. The built-out rail section makes it possible to use wider stances.

etonnant non?
et la plus belle; la 17.4.
